Tim is an composer and producer based in Montreal, Quebec.
Born in Melbourne, Australia, Tim began composing, arranging, and producing computer-based music at the age of 6, making musique concrète with the crude tools built into Windows 95.
He is best known as the drummer of post-punk band "Ought". After receiving Pitchfork Best New Music in 2014, the band spent 5 years touring the world, releasing 3 critically-acclaimed records on Constellation and Merge and playing over 300 shows worldwide.
Following that, Tim worked as an recording engineer at Gold-Diggers Sound in Los Angeles, working with major-label artists like Yellow Days, NIKI, and The Goo-Goo Dolls.
His recent work includes the soundtrack for Montreal artist Nina Vroemen's short film SURFACE DEPTH, which screened at the PHI Center in Montreal in 2024 and an avant-garde pop project called N*JOY, which was featured on Stereogum.
He holds a Diploma of Music in Violin Performance from the University of Melbourne.
